An Image Gallery is a great way to include an organized collection of images in your WordPress posts and pages. They can be positioned with content or by themselves, and include single or multiple rows and columns.

Image galleries are added using the “Add Media” button in your post content editor panel.
You can upload new files to the media library by dragging and dropping them to the popup window in the “Upload Files” Tab, or by clicking the button to “select files.” You can can also use existing images on your site by viewing the “Media Library” tab.
Clicking the images you wish to include in the gallery shows a blue check mark in the top right corner. You can use the shift key to select multiple adjacent images or CTRL/CMD to select multiple non-adjacent images. Select “Create Gallery” in the top left menu tree, confirm the correct images are being inserted, and take a moment to edit your single image display settings.

WordPress image galleries give you complete control when choosing how your single images can display.
You can set your gallery to display a single image on its own page – called an “attachment page,” or you can display a direct link to the image or media file without any formatting, and at its original resolution.
No matter how many pictures you insert into WordPress image galleries, your posts and pages will look neat and organized every time.
Image galleries are great for portfolio sites, news magazines, showcase bloggers, family adventures…any site that wants to engage its readers with a fantastic graphic display.
